underprivileged persons in the southeast Florida counties of Broward,

funding from the Health Foundation of South Florida. Its mission is to
advance the health of the people in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe
Counties and to expand access to affordable, quality health promotion
and care for underserved individuals and communities. |

funding from the Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation whose purpose is to
provide funding for programs and projects designed to improve, preserve

affiliate of Healthy Steps for Young Children. Healthy Steps for Young
Children (Healthy Steps) is a national initiative that focuses on the
importance of the first three years of life. Healthy Steps emphasizes a
close relationship between health care professionals and parents in
addressing the physical, emotional, and intellectual growth and
development of children from birth to age three. |

funding from the Public Health Trust and Jackson Health System. Their
mission is to build the health of the community by providing a single,
high standard of quality care for the residents of Miami-Dade County. |

Healthy Steps for Young Children program from the Children’s Trust of
Miami-Dade. The Children's Trust is committed to funding programs that
offer the highest possible quality services, with the goals of
implementing best practices and improving the lives of children and

of Healthy Start services with a contract with the Healthy Start
Coalition of Miami-Dade with primary goals of: 1) reducing infant
mortality; 2) reducing the number of low birth weight and pre-term
birth; and 3) improving maternal and child health developmental
