Presently, the Center serves over 20,000 residents a year with an average of three visits per patient. More than half of the residents served are under the age of 19, of ethnic origin, either at or below poverty level and are uninsured, underinsured or indigent. All patients receive the same quality health care and no one is turned away based on their economic situation.

Established in 1977 as a federally funded community health center, the Miami Beach Community Health Center has grown into a fully integrated medical facility offering a broad spectrum of services for patients of all ages. Board certified specialties include family medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology and internal medicine, in addition to geriatrics.

Miami Beach Community Health Center is a member of the National Association of Community Health Centers and the Florida Association of Community Health Centers. Governed by a community board of directors, it is a JCAHO-accredited, not-for-profit corporation.

Miami Beach Community Health Center (formerly known as the Stanley C. Myers Community Health Center) has been serving the medical needs of the Miami Beach community for more than 25 years.

Through the generous support of local, state and federal governments, as well as public and private donors, Miami Beach Community Health Center provides quality, primary care and outpatient services to uninsured and underinsured residents. The Center's goal is to guarantee that all residents obtain accessible, high quality, affordable health care, regardless of their age, income level, gender, ethnicity or religion.

At Miami Beach Community Health Center, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dentists, registered pharmacists and support personnel staff primary health care facilities in South Beach, in North Beach, and in the North Miami areas. The Center also provides staff and services at an educational institution - the Dr. Solomon S. Lichter Hi-Tides Center at Miami Beach Senior High School.
